Responsibility The Host's/FOH Cashier primary responsibility is to make all guests feel welcome by providing exceptional customer service and get all guest seated in an efficient manner.
The host/Cashier may also be required to assist servers, bartenders, hosts, and managers during the course of their employment.
Including working out Drive Thru.
Essential Functions Welcoming incoming guests into the restaurant Providing exceptional customer service Managing where guests sit according to table sections Taking guest's names down during a wait and providing them a reasonable wait time Continually monitor tables and sections to ensure all guests have a place to sit Maintain the host stand and ensure the dining area is clean and sweep or mop if needed Give all guests the right of way Ensure before sitting guests the table is clean, bused, and ready for new guests.
Respond appropriately to guest requests.
Communicate guest requests to servers or management as needed.
Communicate with servers and management to ensure all guest requests are met.
Assist servers, bartenders, cashiers, expos, and managers as needed Thank guests as they are leaving Other Job Functions Assist the cashiers, servers, hosts, bartenders, and managers throughout the shift.
Complete other duties as required.
Personal Requirements No Previous restaurant experience required Must have open availability especially at night and weekends.
Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests Be able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop constantly Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time Food safety certification, if mandated by state or local law Ability to work well as part of a team Ability to work efficiently and rapidly Personal cleanliness and organized Customer service Working Conditions Front of House employees must withstand the pressure and strain of standing for hours at a time, lifting, and working continually on their feet They are under constant pressure to get guests sat quickly and efficiently, while ensuring safety and quality.
Do work outside seasonally.
